Hi, Svetlana,
I still remember the feeling of palms sweating and stomach dropping when being put on the spot in the corporate setting.
"You’ve been in this industry for years, you’ve achieved a lot so you "should" know! What’s wrong with you?” (this dialogue was happening inside my head).
In other cases I felt like Neo in a slow-mo scene of The Matrix: confident, my responses flowed and created constructive conversations and lead to the opportunities.
What's the differentiating factor? And how to achieve this calm confidence at work?
I believe the answer is in “Integrity” (the state of being whole, entire, or undiminished).
If your job as a whole contributes to your personal integrity, you feel calm in most situations.
You'll also be able to access your innovation and creativity at will.
Making integrity a requirement significantly reduced the number of palm-sweating occurrences. I also got my job done with less stress and more satisfaction, handled some previously "difficult" situations effectively and with grace.
The job didn't change; I changed how I approached it.
Integrity gives you access to your superpowers.
One of mine is the ability to fusion analytical and intuitive thinking, especially when it comes to people's strategies.
What is yours? How do you use it at work?
Drop me a line or give me a buzz. I love talking to people about their superpowers.
