Tomorrow we celebrate Thanksgiving in the US.
As someone who grew up in a different culture and came here later in life, I didn't have the habit of celebrating many holidays (we still celebrate New Year more than Christmas).
Nevertheless, I accepted Thanksgiving and grew to like it first.
I like the inclusiveness of this holiday, which is not based on religion, and its core of appreciation and gratitude (also, the absence of gifts makes it less about consuming and more about connecting).
So today I wanted to take this opportunity to connect with you heart-to-heart and say that I appreciate having crossed paths with you and that you are in my life still. I count my blessings and am in awe of the number of amazing, smart, graceful people that I met in my life. And you are one of them!
Happy Thanksgiving if you are celebrating. And if not, just take a moment to count your blessings (it's scientifically proven to have great benefits :))!
2020 was not an easy year and the hardship will continue for a while, but there's always something to be grateful for. What is it for you today?
Warmest regards,
